Bodyweight workout: a master piece of equipment

If you train at home, it’s definitely the equipment you need!
No need to spend a lot of money to get the latest home equipment that promise you amazing results with big smiles and a perfect body in the tee vee infomercial!
Just get a chin up bar! It’s basic and cheap, yes it’s hardcore but so effective!
You have to use your own bodyweight and I know it could be a problem for some people who are slightly overweight: for that, I will give you a tip to overcome this problem.
First, let’s look at the exercises:
- Chin up: you’re going to improve the strength in the arms big time, it’s far more effective than doing a few biceps curls with 10 lbs dumbbells!
- Pull up: more difficult, this is the king exercise for developing strong lats.
- Hanging leg raise: work the abs, specifically the lower abs.
Of course you can modified these exercises to increase or decrease difficulty. It can be tough and too difficult for lot of people and women, so here a solution:
Get some bands of different strength (2 or 3): attach on the bar and put your feet on it; you’re going to lower your weight and will be able to do some reps. Use the bands until you improve your strength.
Alternate pull up and hanging leg raise: you'll have a full body workout with your own bodyweight. It’s basic, simple but so effective!
