Home gym: what do you really need?
I’m going to be straight: most of gym equipments people buy are useless!
People believe it’s going to be easier to exercise with “this” machine, they’re going to get more results. Most of the time the equipment end in a closet forever!
My advice: do not spend any money in equipment when you start; it’s better to invest in a personal trainer for designing the right program you need.
In fact you just need your own body; learn a few exercises (you probably know a few of them) and decide to take action, get disciplined.

The exercise equipment you can get:
- a chin up bar for pulling exercises: it’s important for the back muscles.
- Bands of different resistances, again for pulling exercises.
- A stability ball: you can learn many exercises for the core; most are full body exercises.
If you are very serious, get a set of dumbbells, even kettlebells.
You do not need much and you’ll get total body workouts. The results are up to you: decide what you want and do the job, the latest gym equipment will not add anything; you just have to get disciplined and always focus on what you want to achieve. The results will come to you.
